Biophilia Tracker X3 for NLS Diagnosis of Liver Tumors

The diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors are the most pressing problems in modern medicine. Oncologists are faced not only with the problem of primary and updated diagnosis of oncological diseases, but also with the problem of assessing the efficiency of various oncological treatments and diagnosing recurrent tumors in a timely manner after treatment procedures. The introduction of new 3D technologies for NLS image acquisition into clinical practice could address the above-mentioned diagnostic problems at a new quality and higher level.

The differential diagnosis of hepatic neoplastic lesions is not only accompanied by markedly multiple changes, but is often combined with diffuse and dystrophic changes in the organ parenchyma. All of the above illustrate the necessity of widely applying the entropy analysis of lesion spectrum. Our experience has demonstrated that the availability of the Biophilia Tracker X3 enables detailed examination of three-dimensional liver tumors smaller than 3 mm. Thus, in the early stages of pathological development, clinicians are able to update the morphological basis of detected changes and obtain sufficient information to update the diagnosis.

It ranks first in the group of liver metastases invading malignant tumors. It is well known that the most common causes of liver metastases are malignancies of the large intestine, rectum, stomach, pancreas, breast and lung. In metastatic disease, the liver changes more or less in morphology, structure, parenchymal size, and vascular pattern, depending on the duration of tumor presence and the number and size of tumor nodules. In addition to 3D NLS imaging, several variants of Doppler imaging, firstly energy color mapping, can be used to address the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant changes in the liver parenchyma. The 3D NLS imaging method can visualize 3D images of vessel location and morphology, marking them with a certain color on the background of the usual image of the organ. In this respect, the method is fairly close to X-ray angiography and can accurately visualize both large and small vessels.

The application of 3D visualization of organs and tissues has significantly expanded the diagnostic potential of NLS. Today we can talk about true early diagnosis of neoplastic diseases in the first preclinical stages of patient examination. Three-dimensional NLS examination can not only reveal minimal structural changes in organs and tissues, but also accurately assess the extent of the spread of tumor processes, while combined with spectral entropy analysis, it is possible to identify disease stages and select appropriate patient treatments.

The outstanding performance of the Biophilia Tracker X3 in all aspects is playing an increasingly important role in the medical field.
